In 1986, Mr. Lawrence built the first system of its kind specifically designed for light powered fixed wing aircraft. It provides aircraft owners and pilots a much higher degree of safety than was previously available. The system is inexpensive, simple in design, easy to use, and yet extremely effective. Asked why he designed the system, Mr. Lawerence's reply was simple:
"I wanted to be a safer pilot and have a system on-board the aircraft that could help save my own life and the lives of my passengers. If one of the three primary operational systems on the aircraft begins to fail or fails during flight, all pilots need to know immediately, particularly between instrument panel scans and in IFR conditions. The additional time provided by the system during an emergency situation can mean the difference between a potential disaster and a safe return."
Safety was an important conceren to Mr. Lawerence in 1986, and it is an important concern to us today! In fact, we are committed to safety and we want to help you become a safer aircraft owner and/or pilot.
As a pilot, you trained hard to acquire your pilots license. As a safe and responsible owner and/or pilot, you take all the necessary precautions to ensure your aircraft is airworthy prior to becoming airborn. However, what about once you are airborn? Have you taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that the next flight will be as safe as possible? Will your training be enough to overcome an on-board mechanical failure should one occur? How soon will you notice a problem from your gauges alone? How much time will you have to deal with the situation, and in what type of conditions? These are all legitimate questions you, as an aircraft owner or pilot, must ask yourself. Whether you have logged thousands of hours or just a few hours, mechanical failures can, will and do occur. How prepared will you be?

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)* investigates and documents light fixed wing aircraft accidents relating to primary operational system failures. These primary systems include the engine, vacuum and electrical systems which power and/or instrument control the aircraft during flight.
*NTSB reports are a matter of public record. They do not, however, detail the hundreds of thousands of dollars lost in claims due to injury and damage to aircraft as a result of primary operational system failures.

1. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE:
- FOUR (4) FATALITIES. Electrical system failure due to burned out wiring terminal. Aircraft destroyed. NTSB I.D. #FTW94FA091. Aircraft: Cessna 310K. Reg. #N474AR.
- ONE (1) FATALITY, 3 serious, 2 minor. Electrical failure due to alternator failure. Aircraft destroyed. NTSB I.D. #CHI94MA072. Aircraft: Cessna 421C. Reg. #N5468G.
2. VACUUM SYSTEM FAILURE:
- FOUR (4) FATALITIES. Left vacuum pump failure due to heat stress and melting; internal veins broken and cracked. Aircraft gyro system failure. Aircraft destroyed. NTSB I.D. #ALT94FA056. Aircraft: Cessna P210R Reg. #N55MM.
- TWO (2) FATALTIES. Vacuum system failure/vacuum pump drive coupling sheared due to faulty installation. Aircraft destroyed. NTSB I.D. #ALT91FA067. Aircraft: Piper PA-28-201T. Reg. #N2871H.
3. OIL SYSTEM PRESSURE FAILURE:
- Injuries: ONE (1) MINOR. Engine power loss due to oil pump failure. Aircraft partialy destroyed. NTSB I.D. #NYC90LA068. Aircraft: Piper PA-28-181. Reg. #N763DS.
- Injuries: TWO (2) MINOR. Engine power loss due to oil pump failure. Aircraft damaged. NTSB I.D. #NYC96LA117. Aircraft: Cessna 177B. Reg. #N763DS.
