Your comments of flying into Mexico are rather unsupported. As a long time aircraft
owner (a 206) and a resident of monterrey, Mexico, I can tell you that much of that
info is not true, of course if you go to remote areas you can get robbed but
that happens in the U.S. too. If you stay within official airports and take
precautionary actions against theft of your aircraft, you should not have any problems.
I'm an avid reader of the news in my country and I've never seen all these
stories you're saying, or even stories from other pilots. I know of a company that
rented a king air in Northern Mexico to unknown people for a flight to Yucatan,
Mexico, and were kidnapped with the aircraft, and ended up in Costa Rica
shot down by the government. The crew was released. That can happen in the U.S too!
