A few comments about contract towers.
Any one who thinks that they are the same as FAA are sadly mistaken. Many times
in TXK these guys come up with screwy instruction due to a lack of ability to
properly control air traffic. Once I was told to turn north and depart the area
because the controller was overloaded with 5 planes. This is just an example of
incompetence. I would suggest any comments about pilots experiences with poor
controllers be sent to the FAA
