The pay is not the best
The schedule not the greatest
But I chose to take the test
And now I'm different than the rest
I work night nights to keep them flying
Sometimes till the morning light
It seems I'll never win the fight
But I will always keep on trying
I choose to sacrifice my life
So they can make their destinations
I choose to miss my wife
So I can feel all the sensations
The pride I feel as they rotate
And climb to bluer skies above
The joy I feel is sometimes great
It's like a different kind of love
When the pilot says she's broke
And I get her back on line
I cannot take it as a joke
When it could be his life or mine
I worked hard to get my ticket
Worked days and studied nights
I am glad that I stuck with it
As I walk around and check the lights
