When I was a little kid I watched everything he
did From the way he combed his hair
To the way he sat in his favorite chair
Then one day I said grandaddy I want to be just
like you And do all the great things you do
And he said son
Someday you'll spread your on wings and fly
And soar like an eagle in the sky
Everything you hoped and dreamed for
Will come knocking at your door
And when it does just look it in the eyes
And spread your wings and fly
Well grandaddy I've spread my wings and flew
And I'm soaring like an eagle in the sky
I'm doing what you can do
And its all because you said
Now take-off and fly
