Eternal Flight
By Terry Bird (k2bird@yahoo.com)
I dreamed of air
around me so still,
I dreamed of being aloft
over the mountains' chill.
To think, then to go
and do as I please,
to spend all my time dancing
with Celestial breeze.
The dream of flight
will always live on
in the hearts of those
who dare to dream of above ...
and beyond.
If our birth is but a sleep
and a forgetting,
let me wake each day to find
anew, my beginning.
Then, on that day when I make
my final flight,
let me find new wings
that I may soar
toward that loving light.
Far above the mountains chill,
above the earthly droan,
Let me find that I have landed
at the feet of
the Saviors' throne.
