Landings: DELUXE SITE Order Form

Overview

Creating a page with the Landings SITE SERVICE is as easy as it gets.

This page will provide you with all the details and allow you to CONSTRUCT, PREVIEW, and ORDER your DELUXE SITE. A DELUXE SITE consists of many interlinked pages. Five of these pages provide information about your company and your products or services, one provides a contact form, and the rest provide information on your dealer network (1 page per state).

Constructing these pages is simple. Follow the directions below and the Landings Wizard will lead you through the construction phases one step at a time.

When you are finished specifying the content, simply indicate billing and contact information and we'll have your SITE ready for publishing within 5 business days of receipt of related images*.

BROWSER REQUIREMENTS / NOTES:

  • Most browsers support the elements required for using SITE SERVICE. The base-line is Netscape 1.1N (a forms and graphics capable browser).

CONSTRUCTING THE DELUXE SITE

STEP 1: OVERALL SITE INFORMATION

Menu-Bar Title and Style

Each Landings SITE contains a menu-bar. Below are various styles of the Landings SITE menu-bars with the title: 'Aero International'. To view a full size sample page (with associated background and Landings graphics) click on the miniature-image.

Please choose a title for your menu-bar:
(HINT: the title should be short, one to three words at most)

Please select a style (from the above styles) for your SITE:

Specify LOGO Option

Every Landings SITE contains a LOGO which appears on the bottom of every page. You can choose to have your logo scanned or you can choose the SITE LOGO  (with your company name on it).

The following screen shot (items are not clickable) shows the bottom of a page with an index and a SITE LOGO  (the screen shot shows the SITE LOGO  for a company called: Aero International. If you choose to have the SITE LOGO  the SITE LOGO  will be changed to include the name of your company)

Indicate LOGO choice below:

Use Company LOGO
Use SITE LOGO

If you choose the SITE LOGO  the title you have selected for the menu-bar (above) will also be used for your SITE LOGO .

  • When sending the logo image by mail, write on the back of the image your company name, phone number, and your email address. (Please note that images will not be returned).

  • When sending the logo image via email, enclose your company name and your email address (you can send the image as GIF, PHOTOSHOP, JPEG (Illustrator, FreeHand and Canvas files are accepted as well), uncompressed at a preferred resolution of 144dpi. A resolution of 72dpi will work as well).

Name the Pages

Every page requires a name. The name also appears as part of the INDEX for your SITE.

The sample above (see under the Specify LOGO section) shows the bottom of a page with an INDEX. In this case the INDEX is for the Aero International Sample SITE.

  • Hint: Names should be short, two or three words at most.
  • When using the text areas below simply overwrite the sample titles with your preferred choices.
Description

Each Landings SITE is listed in the Landings directory. Please provide a short description of your company to be included with the link.

Description text (up to 20 words):

STEP 2: PAGE CONTENT

In this section you'll specify the text and images that your pages contain.

When specifying content, you can use one of six formatting options, three of which use formatting elements enclosed within an opening bracket '<' and a closing bracket '>'.
For example to indicate BOLD, insert the formatting element: <B>

Here are the six optional formatting elements (upper and lower case are both accepted):

  • To specify a new line: simply insert a carriage return (press the return key once).
  • To specify a new paragraph: insert two new lines (press the return key twice).
  • To specify a word in bold letters: precede the word with <B>
  • To specify a word in italic letters: precede the word with <I>
  • To specify that this line is a bullet item: insert <L> in the beginning of the line
  • To specify that this line is a header line (bold larger type on its own line): insert <H> in the beginning of the line

Each page can contain an optional image. For each image you can specify an optional image caption.

  • When sending images via email, indicate their placement (i.e. image for page-1), and enclose your company name and your email address (you can send the images as GIF or JPEG, uncompressed at a preferred resolution of 144dpi. A resolution of 72dpi will work as well).

  • When sending images by mail, write on the back of each image its intended placement (i.e. image for page-1), your company name, phone number, and your email address. (Please note that images will not be returned).

What you need to supply is an electronic list of dealers, sorted by state, containing the following information for each dealer: company name, phone number, optional fax number, and optional Web address (URL).

Once we have the list, we will convert it to our database format and construct the web pages.
